Figure of Buddha

Sculptured slab in limestone ('Palnad marble') carved with a standing image of the Buddha whose face, lower arms, hands and lower legs are today missing but both hands are raised; the right hand was probably in abhaya mudra (gesture of banishing fear) and the left may have held the Buddha's robe. Broken and abraded.
