# Figure of Buddha

Head from a Buddha image. The round to oval head, with its high hairline and the ladder mode of the hair, is very similar to 1880.111; this piece seems also to derive from the same mask as 1880.110 and 111 with variations due to tooling and the addition of the hair and ears. The surviving ear is very prominent.

- **Kind:** artefact
- **Date:** 400–599 CE
