Intaglio

Oval, nicolo intaglio depicting a bust in profile, with chin-length hair brushed forwards into a thick curled roll and fringe around the face and neck. The drapery of a garment covering the shoulders is indicated by incised lines around the neck. Set in a later plain silver ring.
