Button

Cast, copper alloy button or ornament in the shape of a bird, with a raised head, short wings curved back in flight and a rounded tail; a pierced lug for attachment on the underside. Two incised lines form a saltire across the upper surface of the wings and traces of notching are visible around the edge of the tail.
