Figure of Buddha

Head from a Buddha image. The long and oval head has a hairstyle in low relief of successive narrow bands across the head, each with dense crescentic ridges concave towards a central vertical line of ovals below the uṣṇīṣa which is bound by a narrow band with a small central disc and has a hole to the back of the top.
