# Column

Base, presumably of a thin column. The base consists of a plinth (3.2 cm high) below an imperfect torus which joins the plinth at right angles. Above the torus is a gentle slope to a flat circular top (diameter about 18.5 cm) with a central round hole (diameter 3.5 cm) which pierces the entire base.
