Panel of Kasyapa

Stiipa drum panel showing perhaps the Visit of the Sixteen Ascetics. The Buddha in abhaya, wearing over both shoulders an over-robe with a wide neckline in relief, secures the robe above his lap in his left hand while the usual gathered drapery spreads below. His chest is broad and almost flat.
