Painting

Gouache painting on paper. Krishna (an avatar of Vishnu) is playing the flute. Govindji, the name included in the inscription, is one of many names for Krishna and it refers to his childhood spent as a cow herder in Vraja. Two female attendants accompany him, one of whom is most likely his preferred consort Radha.
