# Figure

Head of Bhairava carved in a reddish-brown sandstone. The full-faced god has a short beard, curling moustache and matted locks tied with a serpent. The ends of the locks are broken away, but originally they were probably secured to create a radiating circle of hair (keśamaṇḍala).

- **Kind:** artefact
- **Date:** 1000 CE
