Figure of Buddha

Head from a Buddha image. The head is round to oval with a globular uṣṇīṣa drawn in at its base; a raised hairline forms a peak and the hair is marked by rows of lines and small depressions roughly in the ladder mode (see BM 1880.107) and vertical from the hairline.
