Shah ʿAbbas I receiving Khan ʿÁlam; single-page painting mounted on an album folio. Khan ʿÁlam, ambassador from Jahángír in 1617 AD, is kneeling in front of the shah, himself kneeling on a carpet. Each figure is flanked by four attendants.
