# Figure

Head, perhaps of a deity or Bodhisattva, originally frontal. The long oval head is framed in prominent rows of dense spiral curls down both sides and below a thick diadem formed of oblong stones with shallow depressions perhaps for lost ornament. Above it the hair rises in vertical strands to the lost chignon.
