Spherical box with hinged cover. Made of mother-of-pearl with silver mounts. At the top, the bottom and around the rims of the two parts, a plain band with toothed edges. The spreading silver foot with applied band of lappets. Maker's mark, within a plain shield 'IA' over a star.
