Button

Cast, copper alloy button or ornament in the shape of a bird, with a long neck, round head, short wings curved back in flight and a splayed tail. The pierced lug for attachment on the underside is broken. Two incised lines form a saltire across the upper surface of the wings. The surface is worn.
