Fragment of silk muslin
Fragment of silk muslin; yellow with painted spot pattern of four-petalled flower in lighter shade. The 'resist' seems to have preserved the threads from slight shrinkage in dyeing. So the pattern is of slightly denser texture than the ground without any additional threads being introduced. Well preserved.
