Vessel

This vessel, cover and collar have each been fashioned from single pieces of nephrite jade, which is a hard and durable material that requires patience and skill to work. The stand and the glassy polish of the jade suggest that the vessel was made in China in the 18th century, in imitation of Mughal jades.
