# Circular box and cover

This circular box and cover made within the Mughal empire, probably in the second half of the 18th century, demonstrates the fascination for Mughal jades at the imperial Chinese court: the reign mark of the emperor Jiaqing, who ruled 1796-1820, is engraved on the bottom.
