Fragment

Fragment of a portion of a border from a pile carpet knotted in coloured wools on cotton warps. The pattern consists of a repetition of S-shaped foliated blue stems bearing, at regular alternate intervals, one of two different floral devices. The colours are in shades of blue and brown on a red ground.
