Earring

This earring is in the form of the mythical man-eagle Garuda, the vehicle of the Hindu deity Vishnu. Garuda is also a protective emblem in Buddhist culture and is often encountered in the mixed cultural milieu of the Kathmandu Valley, where this piece probably originated.
