# Krishna

An unusual small image of the juvenile Krishna. The babyish figure and topknot appear to be Krishna but, although both legs are bent, both feet remain on the base. Both hands are raised, with the forefingers are touching his ears, a gesture with no obvious explanation. The tiered base is plain without decoration.

- **Kind:** artefact
- **Date:** 1725–1800 CE
