Painting

The man in this painting is probably Baba Bakhat Singh, a relative of the Maharana (ruler) of Mewar. The setting looks strikingly like the City Palace in Udaipur, where the painting would have been made, during the reign of Maharana Jagat Singh (r.1734-51).
