Fragment

Textile fragment of hand-painted and resist-dyed cotton (chintz). Remnant of piece-goods. Large, all-over pattern of scrolling, leafy, flowering stems, sprays of berries, etc. Colours: white ground, stems in red and black, leaves in green (faded to nearly blue), flowers in blue, red, yellow and violet.
