Shah Nameh

The manuscript has 487 pages and is written in Persian, in 27 lines of nasta'liq calligraphy per page, arranged in two columns. Two pages have fully coloured paintings that are certainly contemporary with the calligraphy, and there are 10 very delicately painted drawings with light touches of colour.
