# Palampore

Fanciful and elabrate cornucopias were quite often used as decoration on chintz hangings for the western market in the mid-18th century. This piece has a quirky and light-hearted air, with its open field and unusual border design of feathery leaves, tiny hillocks and curious edging motif of wine-glasses or trees.

- **Kind:** artefact
- **Date:** 1745–1775 CE
