# Head of buddha

This stucco head of Buddha was produced by a combination of modelling and the use of a mould for the face. Fired clay moulds have been found in the region confirming this practice. The use of moulds ensured a precision and uniformity in these Buddhas - types not otherwise seen in Gandharan art.
