# Painting

The painting, in opaque watercolour on paper, is of an orange daisy-like flowering plant with two blooms and a bud against a plain buff background. The modelling of the petals is done with red brushwork of fine lines with some cross-hatching. The anthers of the petals are picked out in blue.
