Painting
The painting, in opaque watercolour on paper, is of an iris flower shown on a stylised leafy stem. The long pinnate leaves branch off the flower stem and curve inwards, both characteristics unrelated to the iris plant in nature. The flower has purple petals with yellow central veins.
