Girdle
Girdle (patka) of unbleached or yellowed fine cotton, embroidered with coloured floss silks and gold and silver wire. The patka is of fine, closely woven calico (not as transparent as muslin) which in places retains a surface "chintz" glaze, implying that it has been calendered.
