Tile

This Mughal glazed earthenware tile was bought by the museum in 1898 with no accompanying information about its provenance other than that it came from Mian Mir, near Lahore. It was presumably made in the region, which has a tradition, strongly influenced by Iran, of architectural decoration using glazed tiles.
