Coverlet

Coverlet of embroidered silk on cotton in chain stitch. The design consists of a series of rows of small bunches of flowers tied with red ribbons, set on a ground sprinkled with small single flowers. In the centre is a circular rayed sun-shaped device with a diamond or oval of floral scrollwork around it.
