c18.s1.1

UPON the left bank of the Tuṅgabhadra river, about three miles north of Chaudadāmpur, is the village of Haraḷhaḷḷi, in which is the temple of Sōmēśvara (Plate LXXXV). It is of the same period and style as that at Chaudadāmpur, very complete, but in an unstable condition, the back shrine, some years ago, threatening to come down. It is a three-shrined temple, that is, it has three shrines surrounding a common hall.
