It is a common custom for the members of particular castes, sects, &c., to meet together at stated intervals for the purpose of worship, either in each other’s houses or in temples. On these occasions music forms a prominent feature, and consists of hymns of different kinds, accompanied by a variety of instruments. Music of this nature is called Bhazana, and its use is almost universal.
