There are several Telegu and Tamil works of less interest. The only Telegu work that I have seen which is of any interest is a tract called “Sangíta Kaliânidhi,” on the vina, with diagrams of the fingerboard. There is a Guzerathi work entitled “The Musical Instructor,” by N. D. Apyakhtiar, Bombay, 1870. This work contains a certain amount of theory apparently extracted from the Sangíta Ratnâkera, and a number of coloured illustrations which, though poor, are not without interest. It contains also a large number of Guzerathi songs.
