The compositions of this period comprise a variety of subjects, and are the work of many artists. The names of a few whose productions have attracted my special attention may be mentioned—Chitarman, \*alias\* Kalyān Dās; Anūpchhatar; Raī Anūp (possibly the same person); court painter to Prince Dārā Shukoh; Muhammad; Muhammad Nādir of Samarkand; Hāshim; and Muhammad Fakīrullah Khān.
