We have discussed a coin of this type on pp. 138-140 and illustrated it on Pl. IX. 6. This was the coin found by Byod near Ayodhyā and published and illustrated by him in \*Pr. A.S.B.\*, 1888, pp. 129-30 and Pl. IV. The photograph of the coin published by Hoernle was very poor and I could not make much progress in reading the legend.
