The ms. from which this is taken is a Vratavallī which was written for the last of the Telugu Nāyaks of Tanjore—Vijayacokka. He was conquered by the Mahrāṭhas soon after 1670. There is no distinction made between long and short i, otherwise every letter is perfectly distinct and legible.
