c7.s5.1

At a few sites, for instance Nevasa on the Pravara, Nandur Madhmeshwar on the Godavari, Maheshwar on the Narmada, and Tandrepadu, opposite Kurnool, the tools can be confidently co-related to Terrace II. Little doubt thus now exists about the stratigraphical position of the industry comprising these tools. It succeeds the Hand-axe and precedes the Blade-and-Burin Industry in Kurnool and Bombay area and possibly in Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Karnatak. In all these regions the latter industry is not yet available in abundance and in stratified deposits.
