These new sites lie between the Pakistan border and a point midway between Hanumāngarh and Sūratgarh in the Sarasvatī valley, and also about 15 miles east of Bhādrā in the Drishadvatī valley, near the border between Bikaner and East Punjab. In the former group the large mound of Kālibangā is notable. Another, a few miles north of Anūpgarh, is known as Tarkhānawala Derā. Unpublished: preliminary information from Mr Ghosh.
