⁵ Trikuta or The Three Hills is mentioned by Kálidás (A.D. 500) as a city on a lofty site built by Raghu when he conquered the Konkan. The name is the same as Trigiri the Sanskrit form of Tagar, and Pandit Bhagvánlál identifies the city with Junnár in west Poona, a place of great importance on a high site, and between the three hills of Shivneri, Ganeshlena, and Mánmodi.
