One of his wives was Sântaladêvi, daughter of the Piriya-pergade Mârasingayya: in the Bêlûr record of A. D. 1117, she is described as the piriy-arasi or "senior queen," and patta-mahâdêvi or "crowned queen-consort;"⁷ another record states that she was "perfect in song, music, and dancing;"⁷ she was a lay disciple of the Jain teacher Prabhâchandrasiddhântadêva; and she died on Chaitra śukla 5 of the Virôdhikrit samvatsara, Saka-Samvat 1053 (expired), corresponding, approximately, to the 6th March, A. D. 1131.⁸ Another was Lakshmâdêvi⁹ or Lakumâdêvi,¹⁰ who was the mother of Narasimha I.
