Thânâ, a grant is recorded in the eighth year of the reign of Madharîputra Sakasena.¹ In two other inscriptions at the same place the name of the reigning prince is given as Gotamîputa Siri Yañña Sâtakani.² In one of these the year that is given is not legible, but still appears to be the sixteenth of his reign. There is one inscription at Nâsik which is dated in the seventh year of that king.³ Paṇḍit Bhagvânlâl has brought to light the name of another prince. There is according to him an inscription on the Nâghât in which is recorded the dedication of a cistern of water in the thirteenth year of Vâsiṭhiputa Chatarapana Sâtakani.
