Râmadeva died this year and was succeeded by his son Śamkara. He discontinued sending the annual tribute to Delhi and Malik Kafur was again sent to the Dekkan in Śaka 1234 or A.D. 1312 to reduce him to submission. He put Śamkara to death, laid waste his kingdom, and fixed his residence at Devagiri.
