SUSENGPHĀ, one of the late king's three sons, succeeded him. Being already advanced in years when he became king, he was nicknamed the Burhā Raja. He was also known as Buddha Svarga Nārāyan, on account of his great wisdom, and as Pratāp Singh, because of the great deeds done during his reign. The last is the name by which he is best known.
