In the \*Ramarajiyamu\* he is stated to have married two wives, Rangama and Krishnama, of whom he begot two sons, Rangappa and Rama⁶. In the Mangalampad grant of Venkata II he is said 'to have shone on earth resembling Lakshmana in beauty'⁷.
