Le nom de la localité est douteux. Le second caractère du nom peut être thu, ou même khā ou khu. Le troisième est certainement un g; mais du pied de la hampe se détache un trait oblique, à angle aigu, trop net pour être considéré comme une cassure, et qui donne au g la valeur gū dans l’inscription de Bilsad (Cf. BÜHLER, Paléogr., table IV; l. 9, col. IV).
