P. Sāstrī, Vol. I (Buddhist MSS.), Calcutta, 1917, pp. 14-15. Mr. R. D. Banerji has recently challenged Sāstrī's reading of the date; \*JBORS\*, December 1928, pp. 490 ff. He suggests that the date is 17 while D. R. Bhandarkar thinks that it is 11. Sāstrī still maintains that it is 57.
