The Dynastic History of Northern India (Early Mediaeval Period) v1.c16.309

- **Language:** English

### [v1.c16.309](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.general.ray-1931.v1.c16.309)

⁵ He was represented by H. P. Sāstrī as a brother of Mathana. But I think R. G. Basak is right in taking him to be his son. The passage runs as follows: \*Mahana.......... tadīya nandana-mahāmāṇḍalika Kāhnuradeva-Suvarṇadeva-bhrātṛja-Mahāpratīhāra-Śivarājadeva-prabhṛti\*. I accept that '\*bhrātṛja\*' in this passage 'should rather go with the word that follows in the compound.' See \*IHQ\*, March 1929, pp. 44-45.
