### [v1.c16.334](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.general.ray-1931.v1.c16.334)

¹ \*MASB\*, Vol. III, No. 1, p. 14. I do not find any passage which actually refers to the execution of Bhīma. This has been assumed by Paṇḍit H. P. Śāstrī, R. D. Banerji, and other scholars. This is not unlikely as Bhīma is not heard of again. The Kamauli grant of Vaidyadeva however refers to the recovery by Rāmapāla of \*Janakabhū\* (Varendrī?) after killing \*Kṣauṇīnāyaka\* Bhīma. See \*EI\*, Vol. II, pp. 347 ff., V. 4.
