The Dynastic History of Northern India (Early Mediaeval Period) v1.c16.424

### [v1.c16.424](https://indike.org/pramana/ins.general.ray-1931.v1.c16.424)

² V. 8 refers to Ballālasena, and V. 9 refers to \*Niḥśaṅka-śaṅkara\*, both born of the same lady. If we did not know from the Madanapara grant of Viśvarūpasena (\*JASB\*, 1896, Vol. LXV, p. 7) that the latter name was the \*biruda\* of the former, the impression might have been produced that they were the names of two sons.
