² Edited by Hiralal, \*EI\*, Vol. IX, pp. 293-95. Hiralal shows good reasons to prove that this grant is a forgery. But there is no difficulty about the date which is only removed by a period of 25 years from the Amodā grant. It is not impossible that Pṛthvīdeva may have ruled for about that period.
